The tenth annual Fal River Festival got under way at the weekend.
Organisers are hailing the opening weekend a success after crowds flocked event, sponsored by Truro and Penwith College.
It began on Friday evening with the traditional Beer Fleet from Truro to Falmouth and parade to Events Square where there was an evening of entertainment.
The ten day festival, which celebrates life on and around the River Fal, runs until Sunday and features over 150 events covering music, theatre, art, food, drink, sport and water.
From Saturday until Monday the Fal Fish Festival took place on Events Square.
