Carlsberg South West Peninsula League champions Bodmin Town have been rocked by the departure of four of their top players to rivals Plymouth Parkway, writes Kevin Marriott. Bodmin manager Darren Gilbert revealed to www.cornishguardian.co.uk that top scorer Adam Carter, midfield men Shane Krac and Steve Colwell, and left back Luke Rundle have all agreed to sign for Parkway. Carter has scored more than 100 league and cup goals in two seasons at Priory Park, Krac was a key member in central midfield, and Rundle is rated as the best left back in the league. Colwell was Gilbert's first signing as Bodmin manager in October 2008 but had not been a regular in recent months. Gilbert said: "I am obviously very disappointed but it seems it was all sorted a while ago. "We will rebuild and it will probably do us good to freshen things up a bit. I've already got replacements in mind. "Our back five have all said they want to stay, and we have built our success over the past five years on our defence; so we'll take it from there. "Rest assured that Bodmin Town will still be challenging for honours next season, however many players Parkway sign."
