A HOLIDAYMAKER has died after being hit by a car while crossing a road near Penzance.
The 72-year-old man from Somerset collided with a silver VW Golf on the A394 near Trevelyan Farm Shop, Rosudgeon on Friday.
An investigation has been launched by the serious collision investigation unit and the man's next of kin have been informed.
The Marazion to Rosudgeon road was closed from 4.30pm until 10pm following the incident.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said the driver of the Golf had not been arrested in relation to the collision.
Investigating officers are keen to speak with witnesses to the incident.
