PENZANCE'S Savoy Cinema is set to host a sparkling premiere of Summer In February on Monday evening.
Merlin Cinemas has teamed up with Cornwall Film Festival, to present the romantic drama, which hits screens nationwide on June 14.
Based on Jonathan Smith's 1995 novel of the same name, director Christopher Menaul will join producers and VIPs on the red carpet to see the first screening of the adaptation, filmed in west Cornwall last year.
Summer In February stars Dominic Cooper (The Devil's Double), Emily Browning (Sucker Punch) and Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey), who play a group of bohemian artists living in west Cornwall in the Edwardian era of the 20th century.
The film is set in the years running up to the First World War and follows the Lamorna Group of the Newlyn artists' colony that is often seen as the cornerstone of Cornwall's fame in the art world today.
Penzance's first screening is at 8pm on Monday, June 3 and will be followed by a live question and answer slot with members of the cast and crew.
