FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a fire on the Treloggan Industrial Estate in Newquay on Friday.
Crews from Newquay, St Columb and Perranporth were called after smoke was seen to be coming from an industrial unit at 11.10pm.
On arrival, firefighters confirmed that smoke was coming from inside the unit and forced entry to investigate.
A spokesman for the service said that by 11.20pm crews discovered a forklift truck alight inside the building.
A winch was used to remove the vehicle from the building and hose reels were used to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire was said to be accidental.
