Police are appealing for information after a woman had a firework thrown at her as she walked her dog near Callington.
The attack took place at Skinnard Lane, Albaston, on Wednesday May 29 at noon.
Police say the middle-aged woman was walking her Lurcher when the occupants of a white van threw a firework towards her.
The firework bounced off her back and exploded on the road.
A representative from Devon and Cornwall Police said the victim was uninjured but the attack could have had serious implications if the explosive had lodged in her hair or clothing.
Officers are keen to trace the occupants of a vehicle that was seen travelling in the opposite direction to the van at the time of the incident.
Anyone who may have witnessed or has any information about this incident is asked to contact the police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference number BN/13/311.
