A TOLVADDON-BASED renewable energy specialist has gone into administration.
All 29 members of staff at Enact Energy Renewables based at Tolvaddon Business Park were made redundant yesterday afternoon.
Christopher Norman and Ian Walker of Exeter-based Begbies Traynor business restructuring and insolvency advisors have been appointed as joint administrators.
Mr Norman said: "29 members of the company's staff were made redundant on the appointment of the joint administrators on account of the company's insolvency.
"The company has retained some of its employees to assist the administrators in conducting an orderly winding down of the company's affairs.
"We will now attempt to source a purchaser for some or all of the company's business undertaking and assets."
Enact provided renewable energy and insulation solutions to the private and commercial marketplaces.
Earlier this year the firm become the first in Cornwall to achieve Green Deal provider status awarded by the Department of Energy and Climate Change.
The company, since its launch in 1996, has made more than 300,000 energy efficiency upgrades to homes across the UK by installing solar power systems, cavity wall and loft insulation and heating upgrades.
