Police have issued a warning to west Cornwall residents after a woman pretended to need to use the toilet at a Marazion house and stole a wallet.
A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police ssaid that at around 4.30pm on May 27 a female has entered a property in the St Levan area of Marazion.
He said she knocked at the door and asked the occupant to use the toilet and went on to steal a wallet from a jacket that was hanging up.
The woman is described as being white very slim, 19 to 20 years old with mousey hair and she was wearing a hooded waterproof coat and baggy trousers.
The police spokesman said the public are reminded not to allow strangers in their houses.
