A construction worker was airlifted to hospital this morning after falling from scaffolding at a building site in Falmouth.
The man in his 50's fell from the third level of scaffolding at Goldbank and is reported to have suffered head and back injuries.
A spokesman for the South West Ambulance service said: "A fall of that nature he is likely to have suffered traumatic injuries, but we don't know the extend."
An ambulance was called just before 8.30am and requested air support.
A helicopter from RNAS Culdrose was sent to the scene and transferred the man to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.
