Constantine striker Liam Prynn is closing in on a dream move to Premier League Aston Villa after a fee was agreed with his club Torquay United.
The two clubs have been in talks for a number of weeks after the 16-year-old impressed on trial.
But a fee, believed to be in the region of £50,000 has been agreed and Prynn looks set to join Villa's Academy this summer.
Prynn has only just broken in to Torquay United's U18s side and was due to take up a two-year Scholarship at Plainmoor next month.
However, Villa have been so keen to sign the Penryn College student that they have submitted a five-figure offer for the player, with a number of other top flight clubs interested.
Torquay have not disclosed what sort of fee is involved but it is believed to be in the region of £50,000.
United chief executive Andrew Candy said: "As I understand it, the terms have been agreed, and all parties are happy about the situation.
"We are certainly excited. The deal is good news for the club, and for Liam and his family.
"But it's good for our other youth players, who see that things like this can happen to a youngster at Torquay United.
"It is also a real boost for the staff and coaches in our youth department."
