FIVE children cut off by the tide on the South East Cornwall coast were rescued by the RNLI this afternoon.
The youngsters, who are thought to have been trying to walk from Looe to Millendreath, were stranded close to Plaidy beach. The alarm was raised at 3.30pm.
Brixham Coastguards alerted a cliff rescue team and the inshore lifeboat from Looe which took the children back to port unharmed.
