Newquay's Fiona Pocklington and Pat Greenwood won the Cornwall Ladies' County Golf Association's Baron Rose Bowl foursomes medal competition at St Austell.
The event was due to have been played over 36 holes but after the morning 18 holes were completed in cloudy, but fine conditions, heavy rain came in for the afternoon.
Although many players had completed their round in the bad weather, the Committee decided the course was unplayable as the greens were flooded and that the competition should be decided over 18 holes.
This gave victory to the Newquay pair, who had returned a nett 69, the same as Truro's Anna Sendall and Jenny Hosen, who missed out on countback, the third year they have been runners-up.
Newquay also won the Team Trophy on 221.5, just ahead of Perranporth on 222.
