PENZANCE'S golden girl Helen Glover scooped another gold medal in the World Rowing Cup this morning.
Held at Eton Dorney, it is the biggest event the GB Rowing Team have participated in since the London 2012 Olympics, in which Ms Glover won the team's first gold alongside Heather Stanning in the women's pairs.
Today, she and her rowing partner Polly Swann won gold in women's pairs against New Zealand in the second world cup challenge of the season.
In total, 81 rowers competed for GB across 29 boats, with the dual aim of winning medals, while also offering top-level racing experience to emerging talents.
The new partnership won gold earlier this year in Sydney.
Before the race, Ms Glover said: "It's really exciting. I haven't been back since [the Olympics], so the last time I got out of my boat there I had just become Olympic champion," adding: "Going back, I've got to make sure that the event doesn't get on top of me.
"It's a great opportunity and I've got friends who didn't get tickets last year who are coming to watch.
"It's a good way to signify a new chapter after the Olympics."
Twitter has been abuzz with praise for the rowing, who now lives in Reading.
