Tributes have been paid to a Falmouth University student who died at the weekend. Joe Evans was a press and editorial photography student and was living in the town. It is understood his body was found at a house in Church Street at noon on Saturday. Writing on his Facebook page, his father David said: "With the greatest sadness and despair, I bring the tragic news that my eldest son Joe took his own life at the tender age of 22. "Life will never be the same again. Joe was a kind and sensitive soul and he will forever be with me in my heart. "Remembered with the greatest love as my son and a friend. We will miss you Joe." Professor Anne Carlisle, vice-chancellor & chief executive at Falmouth University said: "It is with great sadness that we have learned of the untimely death of Joe Evans. "Joe was a very valued member of our press and editorial photography course and will be very sadly missed by both his fellow students and staff. Our thoughts are with Joe's family and friends at this very difficult time." Police has said they are not treated the death as suspicious and have referred it to the coroner.
