A woman got a black eye and broken teeth as a victim of rowdiness on the dancefloor in a Truro nightclub. Police are appealing for witnesses after the assault on the dancefloor at Vanilla in Duke Street. Police said a scuffle broke out on the dancefloor at approximately 2.15am on June 16. PC Andrew Brocklehurst said: "During the scuffle it would appear that an innocent female bystander was struck by one of the males, chipping her front teeth and giving her a black eye. "It's the opinion of the police and the victim that there was no malice towards her and it was a wayward elbow or fist that did the damage but even so, she was still assaulted." Anybody with any information is asked to contact the police on 101.
