Crowds gathered at Watergate Bay at the weekend for the latest installment of the Thundercat Racing Series.
This was the seventh and eighth rounds of the Series as surf powerboat catamarans, powered by 50hp outboard engines, raced close to the shoreline in circuit races, fighting the incoming surf.
Unfortunately, the day's racing was brought to an end early due to poor weather conditions.
Of the races that did take place, father and son team, made up of 16-year-old Conner Blackman and Mark Blackman from Southampton won one event and the pro-stock class went to Sean Fisher and Will Driskell.
Photographer Dean Woods said the thrilling events took place just metres from the beach.
He said: "Plenty of people found themselves a patch of sandy beach to watch the event – the racers are real daredevils, literally holding on for dear life."
