More than 100 runners wearing imaginative and wacky fancy dress costumes raced on Perranporth beach raising more than £1,000 for a school pool.
The fun run, organised by friends of Perranporth Primary School, saw 53 runners enter a four mile beach race and 134 runners enjoy the fun run wearing sea theme costumes.
Monday night's event raised £1200 for a project to revamp the school's outdoor swimming pool, built thanks to the local community more than 40 years ago.
Organiser, Jenny Salmon said: "Everyone enjoyed a barbecue at the Watering Hole, our main sponsor, with the four mile finishers enjoying a free pint. Overall winner was Colin Snook who ran the four mile course in 24mins 15 seconds.
"First past the post, however was Jason Pascoe and his dog -who were attached via a harness with the dog's enthusiastic running pulling Jason along ahead of the other runners."
