The Rugby League game between the Cornish Rebels and Exeter Centurions due to be played at Redruth today has been called off.
A statement from the Rebels secretary Rob Butland said: "At 10.15pm last evening we were informed Exeter Centurions had seven fit and available players for Saturday's league fixture.
"This was devastating news to hear so late in the day, especially after last week's end to end encounter with Centurions in the SW Cup Final. I'm assured that everyone at the Centurions have done everything possible to try to fulfill this fixture.
"I would like to personally apologise to our fans, who travelled in great numbers last week to Launceston, our sponsors , everyone at Redruth RFC, and to our players and back room staff.
"We must now turn our attention to the reverse fixture with champions Devon Sharks next Saturday at The Rec, 2.30pm KO. This will be the first meeting between the two clubs since our defeat in the Grand Final last August."
