PEOPLE are being urged to take extra care on the A30 from tomorrow and all next week.
Highways Agency staff are undertaking surveys at various points and in some cases in the evening and into the early hours.
For the safety of the staff, one of the two lanes will be closed for the work.
The following surveys are taking place from tomorrow:
A30 Launceston Bypass
January 12 to 27, 9am to 4pm, westbound lane closed.
A30 Mitchell, near Newquay
January 12 and 13, 7.30pm to 4am, eastbound lane closed
January 14 to 15, 7.30pm to 4am, westbound lane closed
A30 Summercourt, near Newquay
January 13 and 14, 7.30pm to 4am, eastbound lane closed
A30 India Queens
January 15 and 16, 7.30pm to 4am, westbound lane closed.
January 16 and 17, 7.30pm to 4am, eastbound lane closed.

A30 Temple, near Bodmin
Drainage works
January 12 to 14, eastbound lane closed for 24 hours.
January 13 to 16, westbound lane closed for 24 hours.
A30 Between Stowford and Sourton Cross, near Okehampton
Resurfacing work
January 14 to 17, 7pm to 6am, eastbound carriageway closed with a diversion via Sprytown, Lewdown and Bridestowe.
A spokesman for the Highways Agency said: "We are with the industry and road users to reduce the risks of working on the roads.
"For the safety of road workers and all road users, take note of the following points when approaching roadworks.
"Keep within the speed limit and get into the correct lane in good time and don't keep switching.
"Concentrate on the road ahead, not the roadworks. Be alert for works' traffic leaving or entering roadworks.
"Keep a safe distance as there could be queues in front and observe all signs."
