LISKEARD children's services teamed up to hold a free, family fun day where organisers said a huge amount of fun was had.
A total of 150 people tried out activities and games organised by Liskeard Children's Centre, Liskeard Youth Service and the Liskerrett Centre – the youngest being just five weeks old.
"There was a magician, face-painting, a bouncy castle, a lovely interactive puppet show and games in the gardens," said a spokeswoman.
"Children were able to enjoy gardening in the community garden, meeting police officers, and sampling Liskerrett Pre-School's excellent facilities."
Liskeard Youth Service put on activities and a band, with many young people working hard to organise them.
"The success and enjoyment of the event is encouraging and Liskeard Children's Centre and Liskerrett Centre would like to run another fun day in the gardens in the future," said the spokeswoman.
The Liskerrett Centre will host a day of storytelling, flag and map-making and clay-work from 10am to 4pm on Wednesday, August 22.
Explorers costs £4.50 and places can be booked on 01579 340307.
