A 92-year-old man from the Redruth area has died in hospital after his motorcycle collided with a sign post over a week ago.
The incident happened in the morning of 11th Spetember on the A3047 outside Redruth School.
Mr Frederick Pengilly, aged 92 and from Redruth, was riding his small Aprilla motorcycle, when he appears to have lost control, leaving the road, mounting a grass verge and colliding with a sign post.
At the scene he spoke to witnesses and police officers before being conveyed to Royal Cornwall Hospital.
It was apparent that he had suffered serious injuries, and died a few days later, on Sunday 16 September.
