British Transport Police are appealing for information after a group of youths verbally abused a member of staff at Penryn railway station.
The incident happened on March 9 at about 10.25pm and BTP would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened or knows the individuals involved.
Investigating officer, PC Wayne Frost, said: "The member of staff had simply asked the group, who are believed to have been in drink, to show their tickets when they became abusive and swore at him.
"Clearly, behaviour such as this towards rail staff is unacceptable and won't be tolerated and enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible."
Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 405040, or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 11, quoting reference B6/WWA.
