Falmouth police are appealing for information after tools valued at around £2,000 were taken from a building site in the town.
A selection of power tools were taken overnight on Saturday from a house currently under construction in Trevethan Road.
These include a Bosch router, two Paslode nail guns, a Makita electric planer and a Bosch radio and charger.
Also taken was a free standing Makitathicknesser, which officers said is heavy and would probably need a vehicle to remove from the area.
Anyone who saw a suspicious vehicle or anyone around the site that night or has been offered any of the tools is asked to contact the station on 101 quoting reference GP13/ 630.
