THE criminal investigation into the death of a young father from Grampound Road is continuing.
Ryan Thomas died on January 16 following an incident involving an electrical pole while working in Cawsand for Western Power Distribution.
A man from St Austell was arrested in February on suspicion of manslaughter.
The man, now 40, was due to answer bail this morning and police confirmed bail has now been extended to July.
Ryan, originally from Truro and known as 'Smiler', lived in Grampound Road with his wife Zara and their eight-month-old daughter, Maisy.
He excelled at sport and played for Truro Cricket Club and for Perranwell Football Club.
Devon and Cornwall Police are carrying out a joint investigation with the Health and Safety Executive into the incident.
