The death of a man who collapsed and died on Towan Beach, Newquay is not being treated by the police as suspicious.
Police were called to the town's beach shortly before 2am this morning after a member of the public reported a man had collapsed and was not breathing.
Attempts to resuscitate the man, who was in his early thirties and visiting from Hampshire, failed and he died at the scene.
Following an initial police investigation officers have said they are not treating the death as suspicious. A file will be prepared for the coroner.
The man's next of kin have been informed.
