One of the most secret watering-holes in west Cornwall looked set be thrust into the spotlight after a rumour started flying that Mumford & Sons had performed there last night.
But on this occasion, at least, the GRAMMY award-winning English folk rock band, who last year had the fastest-selling album of 2012 in both the UK and the US, had not stopped off at the Star Inn,
Porkellis, to perform an intimate gig.
A punter who was in the pub last night and saw duo Adam Piggott and Jayne Freeman cover a Mumford & Sons song loved the rendition so much he started the rumour.
Landlady Louise quashed the rumour and added that they might not have had Mumford & Sons play but nonetheless everybody had enjoyed the evening's music.
