Firefighters have been called to deal with a gorse fire at Kennack Sands on the Lizard.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service received calls at 12.20pm this afternoon and crews from Mullion and St Keverne, along with one wholetime officer, were sent to the scene.
A spokeswoman said: "On arrival a small area of gorse was extinguished using beaters.
"The cause is believed to be deliberate and all details have been passed to Devon and Cornwall Police."
