The benefits of superfast broadband is stretching beyond Cornish businesses to the student population.
Superfast Cornwall has been working with Falmouth University 3D design student Cory Stager.
It was installed into the house he shares with five other students to find out how it can improve the work and home life for students.
Project officer Mark Jones said: "As well as enabling the students to work collaboratively in places and at times that suit them, superfast broadband has made many things very much easier, from research and studying to relaxing and keeping in touch with family and friends back home.
"It's a great story of how superfast broadband's impact reaches far beyond the established business community and home-users who are streaming TV and films and online gaming – it's also contributing to the future-proofing of Cornwall's skills base, by enabling a superior learning experience."
Mr Stager said: "Superfast broadband has majorly improved my living. At home I would have to sit about five feet away from the hub to get any type of internet access and even then the speed was so slow it meant waiting about five minutes per internet page."
But after superfast was installed at the house, all six students found it a vital utility.
"We can go anywhere in the house and still have good signal. It means we can work together all on different laptops and simultaneously search the web for what we need.
"This cuts out the hassle of having to spend time going to the library to do online research," he added.
