The West Briton has been named weekly newspaper of the year at the prestigious EDF Awards.
The awards, held today in Exeter, celebrate the very best of the media in the South West from Gloucestershire to Cornwall.
The West Briton fought off competition for the top spot from Exeter's Express and Echo and the Western Gazette.
West Briton editor Richard Best said he was "absolutely delighted" with the honour.
He said: "It's fantastic news for the whole team to win such an award.
"But the real prize is that our readers continue to support us as we tell the stories that matter and reflect life on the West Briton patch."
The West Briton was also nominated for the best front page of the year with coverage of the Falmouth hotel fire but was pipped by the Gloucestershire Echo.
The newspaper's Falmouth reporter Ginette Davies was also hoping to retain last year's title of weekly print journalist of the year but was beaten by Rob Golledge of the Western Gazette.
The West Briton was founded in 1810 and is Cornwall's oldest newspaper still in operation.
