Police have carried out a series of drug and property raids this morning in an operation involving more that 80 officers. Most of the raids were carried out in Bodmin, but other searches were made in St Austell and Newquay. Police executed nine warrants and arrested ten people on suspicion of offences including being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, handling of stolen goods and money laundering. Those arrested remain in custody at this time. The police struck at 8am this morning, and were joined by Trading Standards officers. A police spokesperson said: "More than 80 officers from all over the force were brought together to provide a decisive, co-ordinated response to the suspected supply of drugs and handling of stolen goods. "Police have been gathering intelligence about the supply of drugs in these areas for a significant time and today's warrants have resulted from that process.'' Officers used a variety of specialist methods of entry to gain access to the targeted premises and were supported by specialist dog handlers.
