A DISABLED woman was shot in the face in Camborne last night as she was walking her dog.
The 54-year wheelchair-bound victim received a puncture wound in her left cheek after she was attacked with an airgun.
The incident happened at 9pm in the Tuckingmill Valley Park area.
She was taken to hospital for treatment for what police have called "a serious wound" to her face.
DC Rebekah Shorten said: "Police are treating this as a serious assault which could have been much worse had it struck the victim in the eye.
"We are now asking residents in the Tuckingmill Valley Park area of Camborne if they witnessed a BB or pellet gun being fired in the park."
